As a Chico State, Bachelor of Science graduate of Manufacturing and Concrete Management, I learned the fundamentals of problem solving, working in a hands on environment, and business management. In Chico, the city of trees, I also discovered a new found love of rock climbing, which lead to tree climbing, which lead to my love and appreciation of trees! I had the opportunity to work with a ranch owner pruning his trees as a part time job during college and grew fond of this type of work. I decided to put my education, experience, and expertise together to build my own business and Sexy Tree Service was born in 2012! I went back to school to receive my Arborist Certification and currently am taking classes at DVC to expand my knowledge of trees to better serve my clients. We don’t just do this as a job, this is our passion! I have built a team that share my same passion and we are here to not only serve our customers, but to help all the beautiful trees that make the world a better place. I grew up and lived in Mexico until the age of 20. I moved to the US in search of the American Dream. After going around major cities across the country, I established myself in California. My two biggest loves are big cities and the great outdoors. I strongly believe that we are one planet and need to work together to preserve it.
I have worked in several industries and different businesses. Quite frequently, I’ve found himself doing similar roles in management and sales for corporations. Through these positions, I learned the importance of building relationships.
With these skills, I gained the foundation to become my own boss and start an enterprise at sergiolopez.co. I consider myself a business owner, speaker, coach, artist but more than anything a friend, a brother and a partner.
My most recent and exciting adventure has been to join forces with Alex Llamas and SexyTrees.com in a quest to make it the premier tree service company in the United States.
